I have one more guest post that was submitted last week to share with you! The author is choosing to remain anonymous.
Victory Faith Bible KJV1611 Baptist Church Dress Code for Ladies’
1. That which pertaineth to a man
Ladies’ must abstain from all appearance of evil. That means our ladies’ here at VFBKJV1611 Baptist Church should not where pants or shorts.
2. Tops
Blouses and dresses must reach the colorbone and be buttoned all the way up. If the buttons gap open at the bust, ladies’ should go up a size or use safety pins to avoid having their braziers showing, which can be very tempting to our young men and therefore inappropriate. Blouses should be full and not darted, which means there should be no ungodly emphasis on the waistline or underbust. Arms should be no shorter than the elbow. Sheer materials should be avoidable, but if you must wear a sheer blouse, also wear a skin-collared brazier and a full slip to conceal you’re nakedness. Tee shirts, tank tops and other immodest tops are not acceptable.
3. Skirts
Skirts should be at least 3 inches below the knee so that you can sit, kneel and otherwise move around without expositing your knee. Your skirt should also be at least a-line and preferably circle or very full to avoid drawring unnecessary attention to your legs. The waist should hit at your natural waist (low waistts are not acceptable) and be gathered to avoid unnecessary attention to the hips. Your skirt should have no slits. Kick pleats should not be necessary if your skirt is properly full. All ladies’ should where a slip with their skirts to avoid immodest exposure that could lead to lustful thoughts.
4. Culottes
Box pleat culottes are required for outdoors activities, but we ask that our ladies’ not where them to services. Culottes should follow the same rules as skirts and reach at least 3 inches below the knee and be sufficiently full that we do not see the shape of your legs. Also, if you canot do it modestly in culottes, you should rethink doing it at all. It may just not be a ladylike actvitiy.
5. Legs
We know you have them. We do not want to see them. Please wear nylons or tights to conceal the flesh of your legs. Closed-toed shows are not mandatory, but we do ask our ladies’ to consider the fleshly desires of our gentlemen and dress accordingly. Heels that excessively “bunch up” the calf are nightclub attire, not church attire. Bobby socks and canvas tennis shoes are acceptable for certain functions. Please ask Mrs. Pastor for more information.
6. Hair
The KJV1611 says long hair is a glory. We request that our ladies’ discuss their hair with their husbands or fathers to determine the most appropriate hair length for godly glory. Hair should be a natural color (no red, pink or blue, please!) and cut in a flattering, modest manner that does not bring undue attention to our godly ladies heads.
7. Makeup and jewelry
Ladies, if the barn needs painting, paint it, but avoid whoriehs excessiveness. Lipstick should be natural-colored, and leave the false eyelashes at home! Jewelry should be limited to (one) wedding ring and (one) engagement rink. GOD Himself tells us that peircings are a sign of slaves, not godly women, so skip them!
8. Bodies
We understand that ladies come in all shapes and sizes. That said, ladies who are thin should consider the effect of their vanity on their soles. Ladies who are bigger need to worry about their husbands’ soles and maybe lose some weight so their husbands are not tempted to stray. The rest of you ladies need to wear looser-fitting clothes to conceal your hips and other lady areas. We recommend jumpers since these offer the best coverage of (we apologize for our course language) curves.
9. Other
Any other concerns not already mentioned can be discussed with our godly pastor or any of the deacons, who would be happy to set up a private appointment to discuss your modesty needs or evaluate a particular outfit.
10. Visitors
We understand that nonmebers may arrive wearing inappropriate clothing. Although we are always happy to welcome new people, we do feel it is important to emphasize modesty to protect our men from lustful thoughts. If you notice a visitor lady who is wearing a tight skirt, pants or a low-cut blouse, please let her know we love her as a sister, and offer her one of our spare sweaters (they are located in the church foyer’s coat rack) to wear over her top or place over her bottom half while she is sitting.
We appreciate all our sisters’ in Christ taking the time to keep our church modest! Let us know if there is any way we can support you in this endeavor.
Please sign and date this document to signify your agreement to the dress code.

#11. Mouths
while we appreciate the fact that God gave you a mouth, God has ordained a specific purpose for your mouth that is unique and distinctive to the woman of God. Namely, your mouth should be kept closed unless a qualifying circumstance arises. Qualifying circumstances include:
1. Scolding any member of your Quiverfull brood who steps out of line. These scoldings should be administered out of the public eye so that your children are frightened into flawless behavior around non-family members. This will help to maintain your testimony at Walmart and other places you may frequent.
2. servicing the special, unique and God-given needs of your God-given husband. And no, we don’t mean flattering his ego. Pastor will be happy to instruct you on how this service may best be performed.
3. sharing the heart needs of another sister in Christ with other sisters in Christ so that she can best be upheld in prayer. God gave us ladies the ability to whisper very softly; He also gave us the unique ability to quickly transition from discreetly sharing our weaker sister’s needs with another to smiling and discussing the weather if the weaker sister approaches. God’s designs always have a purpose!
Last part of #2
ick.
😛
culottes?
The Sunday School teacher always told me, “Don’t go around breakin’ young girls hearts”
The sheer amount of comments to this post illustrates what a *huge* issue The No Pants Thing is. In IFB circles, it’s marketed as such a small thing to give up, a “little thing” women can do to demonstrate their willingness to be submissive to The Will of God as well as their commitment to being Separated From The World.
But it’s so much deeper than that. It’s a subtle cruelty, a water-torture that belittles so many good and beautiful women so thoroughly that they view themselves with a disdain they can not shake. Then, they dress their own toddlers according to this moronic standard and brag that their little princess has never worn pants.
Thanks for posting this, and for providing a place where people can discuss the effect this awful attitude has on men and women alike.
I like your insight on this.
Yes I can see how cruel it is to advocate loose fitting dresses in place of painted on pants. Sorry, I see those more than modest pants. I gave a picture of my mother at work in a restaurant, in the late 1950’s. most of the time she wore a black midkength dress, I suspect she made it as she was an awesome seamstress. That was her waitressing dress. But in pants, they were very full and loose. And looked pretty comfy. I have never seen women today wearing anything like that. Look up the Three Stooges. Even they usually wore suits, when building or working with dirty materials, they wore an overall over their SUIT. And notice how very loose their pants were. I would say outside if their naughty slapstick, Even the Three Stooges knew how to dress appropriately.
I was a nurse’s Aide in the 1980’s. Pants were acceptable. But at that time at least 25% of women staff chose to wear a dress. Supervisor women were always in a dress. And were always professional and modest.
I have a 25 yr old girl ( t he best description for her) who has been coming for 6 years and to this day still does not dress modestly. Once in awhile she does but outside of church I have seen her in a tube sock for a dress. She’s at least a size 20 . I have seen her have no shame wearing peekaboo blouses. She pretends she’s a Christian. She doesn’t seem to think it matters. This is not her it problem.
I ask again – what about the whole issue of MEN dressing modestly. It happens to be have been very hot and sunny in Northern Ireland for the past couple of days, and a lot of guys have been walking around with their shirts off. Right now I am wearing a singlet, and I even had it off for a while. Am I causing a woman to lust? (My masculine pride would certainly NOT be bothered my that 🙂 )
If you’re not inspiring lust then you aren’t going it right. 😛
Also, just remember that it’s the aim of all brazen hussies, the kind that let their knees show, to corrupt Godly and pure young men. If you haven’t met up with a hussy yet, maybe you’re just not hanging around the right Wrong Crowd. 😉
There’s something to be said for corrupting pure young men …
😈
Pure young men? where? The guys at my school would screw anything with a hole in it. We won’t talk about the farm animal rumors…
Oh, those sinful brazen sheep! Flaunting their woolly bodies like that! 😛
Panda Rosa, you must belong to SINA, the Society for Indecency to Naked Animals.

Oh no, we can’t let men know that women have legs or collarbones. Why isn’t there a dresscode for men? WOmen can have lustful thoughts as well. Let’s ban jeans and any tight fitting shirts for men
You know what else I just thought. If women all dress modest, that still won’t stop sinful men at this church from being lustful. They’ll masturbate and find porn.
I remember how awkward my wee Christian school’s dresscodes made me feel. We had uniforms, but our uniform top was a white blouse. And the awkwardness of being like 11 and having teachers kind of start mentioning what sort of ‘undergarments’ you should be wearing was just horrific.
You should not be feeling bizarrely objectified at age 11.
The same with going to the ACE International Student Conventions where we had to wear skirts or dresses, and tops that hit the collarbone. And even nylons. How was adding a skin-toned layer making us more modest? If I talked to these boys on the drive down wearing whatever I wanted and they didn’t drool over me in uncontrolled desire, why should I be enveloped in cloth now that we’d hit the Convention’s precincts?
At my graduation from a distance-education homeschooling thingie, we our dresses couldn’t have spaghetti straps. Why?!? How was a strap 1/2 inch wide okay, but a strap 1/4 inch wide not? What exact 1/2 inch of my shoulder is inescapably lust-inducing?
Honestly, I think that rules about ‘modesty’ take away innocence.
This is impressive on many levels.
Hey, here’s an idea. If the menfolk are having lustful thoughts, maybe they should LOOK AWAY. Why should women have to put up with these burdensome dress codes, but not the men?
Surrounded by a society full if these, how can they look away?. I notice I get more respect from strangers by dressing modestly. Even nonchurchmembers know the difference. Now my level isn’t as deep as that in the article, I don’t wear stockings in summer but my dresses are near ankle length. And I like it that way. We also go barefoot or in flip-flops if we aren’t in danger of being stepped on by the goats. I.e, not in the pen. I need steel toes in there.
Ban evil pants wearing men in this church.
Look at the Three Stooges. Those loose pants used to be a standard in society.
I realize this post is over a year old, but it’s HILARIOUS!!!
Very well done!!
Stop looking then!
The misspellings were hilarious.
I went to a wedding once in a Quiverfull church. The bride, my niece, was sold to a groom ten years her senior for a bride’s price. She met him two months before the wedding as her parents arranged for them to be betrothed. The wedding sermon covered all the important stuff–her virginity and submissiveness, and, of course, what great families the two were born into. I didn’t realize my sister’s family was in a cult until then. For twenty years she and her husband shamed my family for not being good enough Christians but the weekend of my niece’s wedding opened my eyes. This article would be funny if the actual cult didn’t do what is printed here. I have had many discussions with my sister over the years about clothing, education, and women having to keep fit so that they can keep their husbands happy. I laugh at this article but it makes me want to cry too. These women have their rights taken away and are made to feel worthless in the name of stroking their husband’s egos. It’s not a reality TV show. It’s real.
So…us gals can’t win.
That sounds right. 🙂
