  4. Merry Christmas to all! I haven’t attended a lot of fundy churches in my life, but I’ve been burned by the same kinds of tactics in the past. SFL helps me heal by knowing that I’m not the only one out here. God bless you Darrell, and everyone else in this community. 😀

    This is truly a unique community that has transcended creeds, denominationalism, color, nationality, sex and preferences. I have met some folks on here I would never have had the opportunity otherwise.

And thank you for ALL the wonderful posts and the Benevolent Dictating you do for us. It is so nice to know I am not alone and you have brought us together in such a fun and happy way, it takes the sting out of the pain of the past. You are all such a real blessing to me, so thank you all. I think of you as my friends. (And don’t get me wrong, I do have actual friends. I really do. I am not just one of those people who has imaginary friends and doesn’t ever go out. Really I’m not.)

    This year, for the first time, I celebrated Advent (and at a mainline church no less). Liturgical style worship may not be for everyone but I really enjoy it and find it has helped me grow closer to God.
