The Great Blondin

Three cheers for the Great Blondin for crossing Niagara falls on tightrope and providing one of the most repeated illustrations about faith (or was it grace?) to fundamentalists everywhere.

How history might have been changed if Jean Francois Gravelot had decided to become an accountant instead.

  1. Jim Schettler once (not sure if it was in Campus Church or chapel service) asked for a volunteer and literally had them come up on stage put a cup of kool-aid on the pulpit and asked them to drink it on blind faith.

It might take a few for anyone reading tha to fully grasp. But yes he did it, and seemed to think it was just a great illustration of what faith/trust is. Drink this kool-aid. Trust me.
