Here Ryan Price of Ft. Lauderdale Baptist Church gives a follow up to his “Damnable Heresies” sermon that we covered here a while back.

NASCAR Redux
The man in this video is pastor Joe Nelms who apparently ministers at the Family Baptist Church in Lebanon, TN. He apparently is also a fan of Ricky Bobby.
The church website contains a lot of interesting things not the least of which is this tidbit from the missions page
We currently have five missionaries that we are only able to prayer support at this time. Our desire it to be able to financially support them as we have in the past. Once we are able to meet all the needs of our pastor and our local church, we will prepare to assist these missionaries and others around the world. We want to be a part of their ministry that the Lord called them. However, we must first take care of our Man of God.
Joe Nelms is quite a colorful fundamentalist character to say the least.
FWOTW: ConcordMissionaryBaptistChurch.com
Today’s website is that of Concord Missionary Baptist Church, home of none other than the great Sammy Allen. And we know he’s great because there’s a whole page about it.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Sammy, the churches in his “camp” are the ones who do stuff like this and this.
Inanity
Today we have exercise in saying a whole lot of words that sounds like they might mean something vaguely spiritual but at the end of it you’re still not quite sure what it was.
What does technology have to do with loving Jesus? What does “growing” mean? What does “grounding” mean? And exactly how does this use the Scripture to show us Christ?
But the people all say amen anyway.
Strange Song Applications
While doing a little research for my last post I ran across this video from a Filipino fundy church wherein a group of pre-teen girls sing a strangely upbeat version of “Yours Forever”…to their pastor.
Maybe there’s some cultural context or language barrier I’m missing here but on the face of it that just seems a little weird.
