Once again, there’s simply too much on this month’s FWOTW to describe it all. Here are some highlights from bible1611.com.
A Primer on Betrothing. If it was good enough for Esau it’s good enough for you.
An End to Tongues when “That Which is Perfect” is come Of course we know that means the Authorized Version of 1611, or any edition, thereof (1613,1644, 1676, 1680, 1701, 1767). Wait…does that mean it was cool if people spoke in tongues in 1610 or earlier?
The ubiquitous modesty article in which is promoted a book by the title of (I’m not making this up) Cross-dressing By The Light Of Your Fire.
And there’s much, much more.
I think it says something that so many of these FWOTWs have that tabloid look to them.
Man, there is some hardcore fundy stuff on this website.
I love the phrase in “Betrothing”:”The Devil’s Master Plan … Dating!”:
“…Dating is rooted in selfish goals and impure thoughts, and its horrible fruit (and I say ITS HORRIBLE FRUIT) is seen in the loss of purity.”
Pricesless!
There’s a link on the main page about the following:
The King James Version of 1611 The Myth of Early Revisions
http://www.sluiceboxadventures.com/endtime_messages/Reagan1.htm
He explaines all the textual variants of the King James Bible! No one can be so stupid.
These sites are actually sickening me to look at…
he really likes bold print
Isn’t the arrow for “gender distinction” just a tiny bit indiscrete? Just a bit…?
Haha, a couple should never be alone together? lmao… I love how fundies think as soon as a man and woman are alone together in a room, they’re going to jump each other…. “normal” people don’t even do that. Do fundies have no self control at all? And we all know how easy it is to get to know someone on a deep personal level with a whole bunch of people around…… The no touching, hand holding, or kissing rule really makes me laugh too. 🙂
I know I’m wandering around posting on old topics, a interwebs faux-paux…. but that’s how I roll.
Anyway this site reads like it was modeled after an Oliver B. Greene Book, complete with alternating BOLD and Standard typeface.
I must be the only one that finds it strange for a KJVO website to mention the other “editions” seeing as most in that camp tend to look the other way when that subject is brought up.
